NOTICE OF HEARING
INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW
FIRE HYDRANTS
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that there has been introduced before the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, on June 16, 2026, a local law titled “Fire Hydrants,” which local law would require three (3) ft of space to remain clear and unobstructed around fire hydrants and further provide for the testing of privately-owned fire hydrants.
A complete copy of the Introductory Local Law is available for inspection at the Clerk’s office.
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden, New York, will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law on July 7, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. or soon thereafter, at the Village Hall, 1 Municipal Square, Walden, New York 12586, at which time all persons interested therein shall be heard.
The Village of Walden will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Village Clerk.
